Viswa Sankaranarayanan

Viswa has worked in technical leadership roles across Big Tech for almost 25 years. Most recently he was part of Waymo Research and Google Research - working on cutting edge ML applied research for 9 years. Prior to that he was a Principal Engineer at Amazon - part of the Kindle technical leadership teams, where he worked on fundamental problems in Computer Vision and Digital imaging analysis. His work there led to 8 granted patents in the machine vision and statistical learning space. Viswa started his career at Microsoft where he worked on multiple replication and distributed system technologies - spanning from databases to file systems and all the way down to storage hardware.

He received his Bachelor's in Electronics & Communication Engineering from RV College of Engineering at Bangalore and his Master's in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
